[Nfb-krafters-korner] KK constitution and voting

I am just now getting to emails for the day, hopefully, I am reading them in
the correct order.

First, Audrey, I see how you are saying that the no proxy only pertains to
elections. It has been my experience with the NFB in various
affiliates/state/chapter and positions on boards, that no proxy voting is
allowed on any issue. Now, that being said, I tried to locate the National
constitution on the web and only came up with a 2003 version. In that
version, the no proxy was again related to elections. The 2003 (as amended
1986) version was before my joining the NFB and I seem to recall some
revision having taken place after 2005.

Second, I have asked Joyce if there is someone that we can contact at
National to clarify the no proxy voting for issues other than elections. Our
constitution must always follow the governing rules of National as stated in
the National constitution.

Cindy
