What about a yarn with a color described as twist? 

For example in the USA hometown yarn 

Mardi Gras 
Article: #135-203   UPC: 023032002903 
Purple, red, green, and orange twist 
Are all these colors twisted together in the strand, or are their sections,
or perhaps only the orange is a twist of colors?   

BTW, no I would not buy this particular color. but many of the painterly
colors in this yarn sound so pretty!
