Hi Cathy and all,
I used the second from the largest loom. I made two rows of one strand of cotton yarn then used three plastic bags to make my plarn. I have a bit less then two inches of project with those three bags. So not as many as we might think. I almost cheated. I had three plastic bags that were new leftover from our cafe. OH, we retired six years ago so those bags that were nice and flat and new were a bit old and dusty. lol I can see that nice new smooth bags will be easier to cut. Of course, recycling doesn't mean new bags. lol

Carol says my explanation was far from clear. so I will try again to let you know what I did.

I wanted a round dish cloth. so I started with the cotton yarn to have a base that would be easy to draw closed at the end. I used the plarn to make the next two inches of my cloth. Then I used two strands of cotton to make the cloth large enough to close up in the center.

Now, if you can crochet, I would take the yarn off the loom by crocheting a large open pattern to keep the cloth laying down. That bind off tightens things up on the loom. I can't crochet, so I put the loops on a knitting needle and did a loose pattern. I wrapped twice for each stich and then again for the next row letting the second stich fall off the needle. Then I knitted a couple of rows in garter. The cloth still didn't lay the way I wanted. When I looked at the looming part I realized that if I just drew those last stitches closed like in a toe of a slipper I could have a round cloth with cotton on one side and plarn for scrubbing on the other. I tried it and it isn't as flat as I would like but it is very useful for scrubbing.

I have to get right on a project that uses free stuff. So this was fun for me.
