[Nfb-krafters-korner] Circular Needles

I told everyone what I suggest and what I used which is 2 - 16 inch size 8
needles.
In my opinion the 29 inche needles are too long. Some folks use 2
different length needles. So if you want to try what others suggest that is up to
you. If it works for them and it doesn't work for you you will have to
take it up with them. I can't tell you as I never used them.
I would think maybe a 16 inch and 20 inche would be OK, but working the
thumb with these long needles I don't know.

So are you saying, the length does not matter. I could use length 24,
like Cathy or 29, if I have 2 sets of 8/29. How strange!
Let me know. I did look for length 16 for another reason, in a larger
size and could not find any.

Terry,
That is why you use 2 circular needles when making something in the round
that is a small circle.
With the mittens that I will be teaching you only have 8 or 10 stitches
on for making the thumb. You use 2 circular needles to do that.
Take the class and learn how.

Cathy;
Won't you have to get the size 8/16 to make a small item?
How can you move the stitches and work in the round, if the needles are
to long?

hmm, I think that Terry was referring to the length of the needles when
she said 29. that is a fairly common length from what I have discovered
during my initial research of knitting needles. a length of 16 is not as
common. what I happen to have now is a 24 length in my size 8 needles. I have
not yet decided whether to get a 16 this time or another 24 to match. I do
believe I will try a different texture just to see if I like it better.
I have bamboo needles which I do like.
I'm thinking of trying acrylic.
