Hi Joyce,

Not sure which iPhone you have but you can ask serie to turn on
voiceover for you. Just hold down the home button until you hear the
double ding and say, turn on voiceover, and she should turn it on for
you. If she doesn't respond, then it could be a problem with the phone
freezing.
