That will make too large of a mitten. The original mitten loom was 18
pegs for the hand loom with the large spacing and the thumb loom was 10 pegs
with 1/2 inch spacing.

I prefer a smaller loom for mittens and since I make mostly children
mittens I use a 20 peg loom with 1/2 spacing. I have fat fingersand my hand
fits fine in this 22 peg loom. I have short fingers so consider all of this
when ordering the loom. Do you want to be able to make just adult mittens?

Hi Cathy,

work for this project as well? It's 24 pegs with 5/8 spacing.
