[Nfb-krafters-korner] Roses for NFB KK

Joyce,

Where can I buy the coloring books? I have a niece and a nephew who love to
color and I'd like to do it with them. I used to love to color when I was a
child and had more vision. Also, what happened with the Braille cards? Was
there a total of how much we made from them and other sales? I'm just
wondering now that you bring up fund raising.

I'm also wondering if it would be possible to decide what to do and then
bring the necessary tools to Convention and have a group get together in
someone's room and do some crafting. We could have some snacks as well
while we're putting things together. I just believe it would save lots of
money in shipping. For example, if we made bracelets or key chains, someone
could bring the beads, someone else could bring whatever else there is to
bring. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to Convention this year but, I'll be
there next year and if we do any crafts, I'd like to help. I'm not opposed
to doing the Braille crosses or cards next year and I will probably be
better at origami by then, too.

Okay, that's all for now. Please take care of yourself and get well soon.

Regards,

Denise

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Roses for NFB KK

Terry,

Thank you so very much for the chat tonight. What a wonderful idea getting
folks to make some of these roses and send them to the board members that
will be going down next year or bring them to Convention and get to our
craft show so we can raise money to keep things running smoothly here at
Krafters Korner.

We need to continue to find a fund raiser if we want to continue with
classes at Krafters Korner. It costs us money for our website and the
constant changes needed due to classes.

So keep those ideas coming regarding fund raising and pitch in with
purchasing Braille cards and Braille Coloring books. These coloring books
are not just for the blind. I love to color with my Princesses and now I
can
feel the outline and ask them what color I should use for each part. It is
an
interactive things I get to do with them and it helps that we can sit and
do this together[quiet time is sooooo good!]

Joyce
