Amber, I have taught sewing to blind people, and it is a lot of fun.  My computer has been down, so I have not been able to receive or post reliably for a few days.  If you wish to phone me, my number is 208-338-1595.  I would be glad to talk with you or your daughter.  To be of much help, I would need to know if you have a sewing machine; whether your daughter has learned to use the needle threader and the seam gage; whether you or someone close already sews; and a few basic things.  Has she made a garment by hand or with the machine? Would love to hear from you.

I’m new to this list. I’m a parent.  I have a blind 15 year old daughter. 
My daughter has always been crafty. 
As she’s getting older I’m trying to get her into different hobbies. I was wondering if there are any blind sewers or quilters?
I would love to hear the best ways to get her involved in learning how to sew and eventually quilt. 
Are there any tips on what is best equipment to use?
She has a little vision, but only a little in one eye. Any suggestions would be great.
