Keeping the pup's skin and coat moisturized with a conditioning shampoo containing colloidal oatmeal might help. 

Dryer sheets or spritzing carpet and bedding with a anti-static mist like a capful of fabric softener mixed in a spray bottle with water might also help. 

Cotton and natural fibers are good anti-static.

I like to simmer citrus rinds, but if I walk away, I always turn it off. 

House plants help keep moisture in the air as well.
