Residential Life Assistant

The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is currently recruiting a part-time evening Residential Life Assistant.  Will be required to provide individual and group support services related to scholastic, educational, personal hygiene, recreation and leisure skills and social skill development to students who are blind/visually impaired, with/without other impairments.  Part-time nine-month evening position: 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  Applications accepted until filled.

 

Teacher of Students with Multiple Impairments

Duties include the ability to provide a comprehensive educational program to students K-12 with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education and certification in Vision is preferred or must be willing to acquire.  Must possess or be eligible for NM Public Education Department licensure. Will be required to become Braille proficient.  Full‑time contract for the 2018-2019 school year. Applications accepted until filled.
