...I now use the "voice over" programs already embedded within the Apple/Mac products. This decision was made a few years ago after using jaws f/windows for nearly 20 years. I well new how to use jafws but also the problems and ongoing expenses. Though Apple products tend to be a bit more expensive initially , it is actually less expensive in the long run. I really contemplated whether I wanted to spend the time, effort and frustration of learning a new system but am glad I did. I'm not particularly techy so learning a new system is not intuitive for me...still learning but have the time since I'm retired. You might want to look into Apple products...one of my younger friends is determined to get me into this decade and says she will help me learn how to use a I - phone...this will be a big jump for me from my comfort zone of using a flip phone. Good luck in deciding what's best for you... I understand how difficult it is to learn some new technology and don't approach it without a lot of pondering knowing what is involved in the changes...I hope each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
