Linda

I just tried the links in the message you addressed to me, and they worked.
The method I used was: First, I'm using JAWS, and it has a feature that
places all links on a page or in an email, into a list. This first told me
that the links in the message were there, and workable. All I had to do was
press enter on one, and I was taken to that website.

So here is what I'd have to know about your situation: are you using a
screen reader, like JAWS (speech), or are you using software that enlarges
the text on the screen, or not using any adaptive software?

And second, This is the most important question: Have you been able, in
other messages, to get a link to take you to... wherever? And here is a
second part; being more true to your situation if you answered "NO" to that
first question of mine. do you know if your email is set to turn all
in-coming mail into a text message? Meaning, the normal type of message that
is sent, mailed... is html based, which has any links in it, live and
workable; capable of manipulating your computers software to take you out
onto the Internet. (Note: My message is html based.) And so, some people set
their email programs to only send and/or convert in-coming mail into text,
which kills any live links; protecting your computer! Remember, some
messages can harbor harmful viruses; a bad intentioned person can send you
harmful viruses, and sometimes it is hard to know if a message is one of
these nasty surprises!

One other comment here- I did see that some of the links in the message you
sent back through the listserv, were broke; too long for the with of the
message and part of it ended up on a second line. Though, that can be
worked with... if you know how. And one very common method to get web
addresses in a text message to work is: copy the address (high-light/select
it, and copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into the address bar of your
browser, and press/click search! And it works! (I often see that type of
message in a document or email, telling the reader that if the links are
not working, then copy, paste them into the browser....

Hi Robert,
When I clicked on any of the links, it brought me back to your e-mail.
Wonder why?
Thanks,
Linda
