The detail is unbelievable! They ask people not to touch anything because it is museum quality. Then, the tour guide who is the guy that built the place invited me to come over and run the transporter and touch all of the controls on the bridge. I actually sat in the captains chair! Then he invited me over to check off station where I fire the phasers and the photon torpedoes. I felt like a little kid! It was so cool! Little did I know 54 years after Star Trek went off the air that I would have such an awesome experience. I have a picture standing on the transporter platform between a manikin of Spock and Kirk. How cool is that!

Back in the olden days we remember a time when you either got by or got out and there was very little accommodation for us. I must confess I am very envious of all of the assistance that students get nowadays. Oh how my life would’ve been so much different if I could’ve gotten the same accommodations.
