Hi Stanzil,

I've been on the CS mailing list for 3 years or so.

I've been a lifelong programmer. I worked 34 years in IBM and contracted for
6 years with NY Times, Verizon, Lucent. All in programming: analyst,
development programmer, systems analyst, systems programmer, programmer
manager, network development and admin, databse programer. I've probably
learned over 100 different program languages. I started as a mainframe
operator who had to program. The last 6 years I've been doing web
development for a number of websites using flash, asp, css, html, etc. I am
retired now.

This background I think gives me some credablity when I duscuss all the
facets of IT. I developed the East Hillsborought Chapter, in Florida,
website: http://www.blind411.org/

I created the ITCareers site which I sent to Jernigan:
http://www.blind411.org/ITCareers/ which is a great newbie programmer site.

I also created the IT Initiative site to propose to the county school
district about IT importance as a career and instruction in the k-12
schools. I presented this to the district superintendent and her staff. The
site is: http://www.blind411.org/ITinit/

The presentations I gave are at http://www.blind411.org/CTinitiatives.html

Thanks for your interest. It would be nice to build a team that all agree on
this topic.

Arnold
