  Hello Cheryl and everyone,

It's not the price that's the issue. Rather it's being able to have
your
site domains renewed automatically by the domain host so you don't need to
worry about them expiring when you least expect them to. I had to deal
with
this prior to last year's national convention and this one. Does Godaddy
have live tech support you can call when something goes a rhy such as a
password not being recognized? Whether we're talking about air travel or
Web
site hosting around here we value convenience more than price. My host
charges $15.00 for domain registration but having a human you can talk to
when issues arise and have your domain automatically renewed each year is
a
tremendous value than being forced to interact with robots all the time
and
discovering that Web sites are down due to an expired domain. On this last
point what's that saying that "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of
  cure." All the best.

domains to renew is usually with mine is $4.99 a year I got the 5 year
plan
which came to $20 I don't think that is so bad.

    Hello Brian and everyone,

But they won't automatically renew the domain? No thanks. I've had
one
too many scrambles over expiring and expired domains and don't care to
  have
    any more of them.

    hi,

register will sign you up for a five year block and they send reminders
  when
your renewal date is coming a few months before the due date.
