Federation Family,

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of Larry Martin, a dear friend, long-time NFB member, and former president of the Tucson Chapter. Larry passed away on Sunday, January 5. Doris Martin, his wife, shared that a memorial service will be held on October 5, 2025—his birthday, as the family wishes to honor him on that special day.

Larry and Doris joined the NFB in the early 2000s. Larry, an accountant by profession, ran a successful accounting business with Doris, which is now managed by their son, Michael. Larry loved the NFB and served it with unwavering dedication, integrity, and hard work. He was a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor and a genuine passion for helping others.

For at least a decade, Larry and Doris were the dynamic treasurer team of the Tucson Chapter. Larry also chaired the Horse Racing Fundraiser, dedicating many weekends at the track to raise money for the NFB. He was a lifelong learner and embraced new opportunities with enthusiasm. When Manny Celis began teaching iPhone lessons, Larry eagerly became his first student.

Larry and Doris were also animal lovers, sharing their home with several beloved cats. Their support and contributions to the NFB over the years have left a lasting legacy.

Larry passed due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. My deepest sympathies go out to Doris and her family during this difficult time. Larry will be greatly missed, but his impact and memory will live on in our hearts.

If you have any memories of Larry to share please do so, so we can all remember Larry and celebrate his life together.

With sincere regards,
Abdallah
