hi,

i think cdex (cd extractor( is a form of what you mean.
i'm not sure how it does with files already on hand.
when you pop in a music cd, you can tell it to go out and replace track1 with the actual song names.

  file, such as album and artist. I have my files in folders named after their 
  albums, but it does not do any good for iTunes and the iPhone because they 
  both use the file properties.
