Hey Cathy,
I found this article from Microsoft that might help.
I am pasting it below.
I know that you said that you did the first part of these instructions. But, did you change the theme to Classic instead of modern?
I did this and got the sound for deleting messages in Outlook.
I hope this helps.

Turn sound effects on or off
Important: When you select or clear the Provide feedback with sound check box, the setting affects all Microsoft Office programs that support this option.

1. In the File menu, select Options.
 2. On the Ease of Access tab, under Feedback Options, select or clear the Provide feedback with sound checkbox.
 3. If you wish, you can use the original Office sound effects by selecting the Classic theme from the Sound Theme drop-down.

Turn sound effects on or off with the keyboard
1.Navigate to the File menu, then select Options. You can use the access keys Alt, then F, T.
2.Once in the Options window, use the arrow keys to highlight Ease of Access.
3.Press Tab to move to the Provide feedback with sound checkbox, press the spacebar to check the box.
4. press tab to themes and use arrow keys to change to classic

That is what I had installed. It is squirly to install it for Office 365 because it doesn't think you have office on your computer. I successfully installed it using the work around, but it doesn't seem to be working

I have a program, from Microsoft, called sounds.exe. You run it and it adds sounds to MS office. I can send it to you, if you want.
