[NFBCS] Reading email on the server

I leave my email on my ISP's server so that I can read it there if I'm away
from my desktop.

On my old desktop, and my iPhone, the mail on the server has a checkbox
before each message and a link to each message. It's pretty easy to use.

But, when I go to the mail server with my new laptop, running Windows10, it
doesn't look like that. There is a table with links to messages, but, when
I hit enter on one, it just says "loading." and never actually shows me the
message. I tried it with Firefox and Edge and got the same results.

I don't know what to do or who to ask. I could call my ISP's tech support
guy, but he can be quite snide with ignorant users and I'm not sure how to
explain my problem.

Can anyone advise me what to do, or even what to ask?

I could try using my phone, but I anticipate links to Excel and such next
time I'm away at a conference, and I can't deal with that on my phone.

Thanks.

Tracy
