[Nfbf-l] State School

Sherri, I believe your correct with this assessment! It is unfortunately a
reflection of our Current world and not necessarily just a blind issue. If
we look around we see our entire youth being taught differently than we did
along with a completely different social environment as well! The world is
so concerned about everyone having rights, that our discipline that we had
growing up is gone and with that loss, our kids are gaining freedoms, but
losing the skills to be strong, successful individuals. Again, just one mans
opinion! KH

We were always taught in my school that we could achieve whatever we wanted
to and that in fact, to get noticed, to get a job, to function in the
sighted world, it was necessary for us to do better. When I went to school,
high standards were placed upon us. It isn't that way now, not in public
schools or schools for the blind.
