I have nothing to contribute as far as technology is concerned.  That's left to a professional, not me.
I would depend on people a lot less if I had my sight.  If I want to go out on a Sunday night, I could go.  IF i want to look at the guide on my TV to see when a baseball game is available, I could do that.  IF I want to go to a NHL game I could just go.  Nobody else needs to be involved! I would not have to worry about how I would get there, bus schedules etc.
