Mat,

We should always take a stance against someone making such derogatory
statements as these, as they are obviously very demeaning and disparaging.
Although I do understand the frustration and anger we as visually impaired
people feel when hearing such statement, especially when they are coming
from a public figure and made on social media where many people will read
them, it's obvious he made these statements out of ignorance, and needs to
be educated.

Politicians don't care about anyone but themselves. We just have to except
that, and try to educate them if we can, but most of the time we're wasting
our time.

I don't know how he could be so misled and have such faulty thinking. I saw
this on Facebook. I commented on it. I haven't been back on his Facebook
page to see if he saw my comments along with those of other blind people. I
