[NFBF-Tampa] HART Board of Directors Agenda & Route Changes

Dear Tampa Bay Chapter Members,

 

                This is a reminder that the Hillsborough Area Regional
Transit (HART) Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting for January
this Monday, January 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the HART administrative offices
located at 1301 E. 7th Avenue in Ybor City. Attached is the agenda for this
meeting, along with the service changes proposed by HART that will be voted
on during this meeting. Members are encouraged to attend the meeting to
demonstrate the presence, interest, and commitment of the National
Federation of the Blind to effective, efficient public transportation. As
blind people, we depend upon good public transit to live the life we want
and remove the artificial barriers that keep us from realizing our dreams to
participate in the social and economic life of our society. As we raise our
own expectations we must communicate that HART, as an agency must also raise
their expectations of us; therefore, it is essential that our presence be
felt and heard. Whether you speak at a meeting or simply are seen in the
gallery, your presence makes a considerable impact that is felt by the Board
and our community. 

 

Please make an effort to join other chapter members at this meeting.
Afterward, we will share a social gathering at a place chosen by those who
attend and wish to share some NFB fellowship. We look forward to seeing many
of you on Monday!
