Subject: Message from the Commissioner

Good morning OFB Team!

It is my pleasure to announce that Governor Beshear has named Allison
Flanagan as the new Executive Director of the Office for the Blind. She
brings a rich background in vocational rehabilitation to the position having
worked her way up from an administrative assistant to the Division Director
of Consumer Services over the past 18 years. The selection process included
interviews with the Commonwealth's blind and visually impaired advocacy
groups and she received their unanimous endorsement as well. Allison will
officially begin her new role on December 1, 2012. Please join me in
welcoming her into her new position.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you
all for your dedicated service to the blind and visually impaired consumers
in the Commonwealth.

Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season!

Beth
