> The 2017 NFB Youth Slam is a weeklong science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning opportunity; and will be held at Towson University in Maryland. One hundred blind and low vision high school students from around the United States will engage in STEM classes and recreational activities designed to build confidence and increase STEM literacy.
>
> The National Federation of the Blind is in need of individuals who are interested in serving as volunteers to help facilitate the program. Volunteers can serve in a variety of capacities including: helping to prepare materials for the academy, providing support to students both in and outside of class, helping execute program logistics (set-up/tear-down, material distribution etc.), and providing navigational support for students (i.e., talking signs).
>
> If you are 18 years of age or older and can be available July 21-29, 2017, please complete the online volunteer application by January 31, 2017.
