Greetings and Good Morning,

 

We've asked Michael Freholm to take the lead on writing the main article on
George Stokes, the man, as we dedicate this issue of the Kentucky Cardinal
to him. We also encourage you out there to share with us any experiences
that you've had with a great Federationist and community servant, George
Stokes who has recently departed. George was one of the very best! We should
all get a chance to recognize his numerous contributions within the National
Federation of the Blind, the National Federation of the Blind of Kentucky
and his outstanding community involvement. Not too long ago George told me
that when he was in high school at KSB, he was asked by the Powers That Be
not to volunteer for anything else, because he was too involved.funny.
Isn't that a tale of two stories?

 

Let's hear from you, if you please. We will need your article by 8/24 so
that we can have the Kentucky Cardinal out on time. We look forward to
receiving your contributions to this issue of the Kentucky Cardinal.
