> We’ve contacted the National Federation of the Blind leadership during the 2020 National Convention. We’ve followed up with the NFB thereafter to discuss plans to add audio description to HBO Max and we look forward to working with the NFB going forward.

A description of our commitments and link to the agreement can be found here: https://acb.org/HBO-accessibility.

> The national Federation of the blind, NFB, has tried to contact anyone from HBO about audio description. As far as I am aware, no one has bothered to answer our inquiries. When I turn on the secondary audio programming feature on my TV, it changes the language of the movie I’m trying to watch to Spanish. Netflix, Disney+, and even Amazon prime has started offering audio description. It is unacceptable that HBO, the oldest movie channel, does not offer it. if you do not speak English and want to watch an English-speaking movie in Spanish, you can turn on close captioning and change the language to Spanish and watch the movie that way. If you’re blind, and do not speak Spanish, turning on the secondary audio programming will not help you in the least. Please fix this horrendous oversight!
