[Nfbmd] Help with Assisting a Person with Low Vision

In answer to one of the questions, the daughter is an adult. Her mother
indicated she had limited funds, which can lend itself to its  own
interpretation, but  I  appreciate the answers that have  been provided. The
good thing is she found my information from searching on the internet and
came across the NFB. I  count it a  start to knowing us. I  am doing  my
part in  helping her know she can  live the life she wants!

I  received a  call today from a  mother regarding her daughter. She is in
need of glasses and due to financial reasons, she is unable to pay the near
$1,000.00 cost she has been quoted due to the type of glasses she needs.
Does anyone have knowledge of a  location I  can direct her for assistance? 

She lives in Severna Park, MD.

Typically, the Lions Clubs jump into action in just these sorts of
instances. I would urge them to contact their local Lions for assistance.

Hi Michelle,
Does the daughter have health insurance. If she does, then it is the best.
If the insurance will not pay, then the lions should be contacted.
It should be noted that Medical assistance will pay for such things. How old
is the daughter and the other circumstances need to be known.
