Fellow Federationists:
As many of you know, the United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is developing tactile features to make it easier for blind people to identify paper money. Some of you have participated in past testing of these proposed features. If you have not done so, now is another opportunity to participate in some testing that will be conducted by the BEP at the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute, 200 East Wells Street in Baltimore, on Wednesday, December 9. Appointments to participate in the testing will be available beginning at 9 a.m. The BEP estimates that each individual's participation will take approximately half an hour. If you are interested in participating, and to set up an appointment time, please contact Tracy Garrett of the BEP by emailing her at tracy.garrett at bep.gov<mailto:tracy.garrett at bep.gov> or by calling her at 202-874-3256. Ms. Garrett will need your name, email address, and the best telephone number at which to reach you. Please do not reply to this message, as your message will go to the entire list from which you received it. Email Ms. Garrett directly at tracy.garrett at bep.gov<mailto:tracy.garrett at bep.gov> or call her at 202-874-3256. Please consider participating, and please let others know of this opportunity especially if they do not have email.
Warmly,
Chris Danielsen
