Hello,

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland needs your help. Every year
we put on one of our biggest fundraisers in old Ellicott city. We partner
with the Ellicott City Partnership to transform Main St into a world of
Harry Potter inspired mischief & magical treats all weekend. Magic will be
coming to Ellicott City this year on both October 5th and 6th.

This event is only successful if we have enough volunteers to run the
various activities throughout the weekend. Yes, the weekend is long but all
proceeds go to college scholarships, our BELL academy, advocating for our
legislation in Annapolis, creating activities for both parents and children,
helping blind people attend NFB training centers, and so much more.
Volunteers are needed for the following:

. Assisting with event setup and decorations
. Guiding visitors and providing information
. Organizing magical activities and games
. Ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all attendees
    . And much more!

October is Blindness Equality Achievement monthwhich is a time to remember
history, advance equality, and Celebrate accomplishments of the blind. This
is a great opportunity for families to volunteer, especially for our blind
children. We always find ways to have our blind children volunteer so they
can show case the capabilities of the blind and help the public disspell any
misconceptions of blindness.
