I wondered about having it correctly aligned as well, especially since I was 
having trouble with it. The worker ended up taking it from my hands, taking 
it out of the sleeve and trying to get it to scan. This did not work either. 
Although this was minorly irritating, I let her do it because there was 
nothing to keep secret on an unused ballot.
