Where are all the accessible copies of the state plan update to the blind 
folks who might just attend?

Oh, yes and are all those facilities totally accessible in accordence with 
the ADA? Cadillac Place sure isn't...

MCB to Hold Public Meetings in Grand Rapids, Escanaba, and Detroit on
Draft State Plan



June 6, 2011 - The Michigan Commission for the Blind (MCB) will hold
public meetings at three locations during June 2011 to receive
comments on its draft state plan.  The final state plan, which
specifies provisions for the delivery of MCB services to its blind
clients, will be submitted to the commissioner of the federal
Rehabilitation Services Administration in July.  The three public
meetings will be held as follows:



·       Grand Rapids, June 16, 2:00-6:00 p.m.

In addition, the draft State Plan is posted on the Michigan Commission
for the Blind website at www.michigan.gov/mcb.  The deadline for
submitting comments on the draft state plan is 3:00 p.m., June 27,
2011.  Anyone who would like to submit comments on the draft State
Plan may send an e-mail message with "state plan comments" in the
subject line to Diamalyn Gaston at gastond at michigan.gov or send
comments on paper to:

All of the meeting sites are accessible.  Individuals attending the
meetings are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal
care products in order to enhance accessibility for everyone. People
with disabilities requiring additional accommodations (such as
materials in alternative format) in order to participate in the
meeting should call the meeting contact phone number five days in
advance of the meeting.



For more than 30 years, the Michigan Commission for the Blind has
provided training and other services for individuals who are blind or
visually impaired to achieve employment and/or independence in the
careers of their choice, serving approximately 2,750 state residents
