And here is the ultimate point: No one including a petty rent a cop or even 
an established police officer has the right to engage in assault and battery 
of anyone outside the use of lawful restraint against a perpetrator of a 
crime.

This lady whether she showed an ID or not was not engaging in a crime by any 
measure. And the resulting assault and battery upon her person was an abuse 
of power pure and simple.

Let me put it into a non-blind context.

A police officer might rightfully pull over a person for a traffic violation 
and might rightfully ask for ID (although the ADA requires no ID whether we 
like it or not, but another issue for a service dog, etc.)...anyways a 
police officer or a security gard hired by SSA for crying out loud  doesn't 
have the right to assault and batter any individual any more than you or I 
can do so.

Anyone in my opinion should be insulted and infuriated at the abuse of power 
by nominal police powers in this instance if all things are as presented.

Not only did this ex-officio officer of the law violate allegedly the right 
of this person to access the confines of the Social Security 
Administration...her right to access the governmental services and programs 
of the United States Government...aka the Social Security 
Adminuistration...But he actually in alledged fashion commited not only 
civil violations of law but actual criminal violations of law.

No one has the right let alone a person acting under so-called color of 
law -- Original Message -----  the right to assault and batter anyone.


THAT IS THE ULTIMATE BOTTOM LINE. I use upper casehere for a reason and to 
emphasize that just because one where's a badge he or she may not violate 
vcivil rights or act in a criminal capacity.

would I have the right to throw  out your shoulder because you didn't show 
me this or that ID when it wasn't required under law in the first place? And 
because I had some plastic badge nominally giving me bully powers over you? 
No, I sure as heck wouldn't have such a right. Even under the most 
libertarian constructs I don't have the right to assault and batter you 
Larry or anyone else. does someone given a badge by the Feds get such a 
right? I don't think so. Or not at least in a democratic-republic where we 
are supposed to be a government of law and not of perfidious men.

Should an agent of the state garnering federal and taxpayer funds be granted 
a pass? Hell no! If these facts are as they are this is an abuse of police 
powers that is despicable in a democratic-republic by any measure.

As in all of these cases I'm appalled at the second guessing of the victim 
of state sanctioned abuses of power, priveledge and civil rights.

This is akin in my mind to the often abused issue of the vicitims of sex 
crimes in that the victim of rape for example are often put on trial.

Now, again I only go by news accounts here and I wish for a true proceeding 
to take place with equal protection and due process of law for all involved. 
But, if the thing whent donw as portrayed then why should this state actor 
acting under color of law be given a pass for assault and battery and indeed 
why isn't he up on charges for civil rights violations and for 'violations 
of hate crime legislation>?

Listen I have thegreatest respect for law enforcement officers and for 
quasi-law enforcement oficers in general. They do a tough job. But theyare 
not and cannot be beyond the reach of the law itself or the law breaksdown.

Bad apples must be weeded out in the legal system and in fact in the VR 
system or the isn't anything left to defend but perfidy, corruption and 
chaos.

When ccorrection agents in this state raped for decades women in prision 
resulting in a $100 million plus settlement against the state what did that 
say about the rule of law?

We taxpayers are still paying for this garbage to this day including those 
who are blind with denigration of services.

I'm sick of the public criminals being left off the hook and even continuing 
in many instances with their high priced crimes against us.

And I'm even more sick and saddened and outraged at the fact that some in 
our community point out the this that or the other thing or ommission of a 
blind or disabled person in that he or she didn't dot an I or cross a T 
while being abused outright. I'm not aiming this at you Larry as you'll 
likely know. And you're a tough guy and right with the world.

But, darnit I'm ticked that whenever these things get exposed the first 
place some look are at the victims and not the victimizers.

Hope you understand I'm using this as a launcing point about principles 
Larry and not at all aimed at you per se.
