Well said Larry.
For more than a decade we had a board that predominately rubber stamped
everything the Director did. Moreover, no matter what people think of the
Chair Pilarski she openly admitted she didn't know what a state plan was
after roughly nine years as Chair.
I have the recording and in fact it was re-iterated in the special meeting
in June.
The issue fundamentally is that MCB has increasingly violated over and over
again the very laws that establishes it. Each counselor is sworn to follow
these laws and to know them. It is a part of their code of ethics which I've
submitted to this list.
I find the blanket, ad hominum attacks upon blind folks in general by Ms.
Meadows to be appalling, professionally speaking.
And to public call for the abolishment of the legally required board is just
incredible.
