FYI, there's an article in today's Kalamazoo Gazette on an event held
Tuesday at the MCB Training Center. The Downtown Kalamazoo Lions Club
dedicated a tree that they'd planted on the center grounds this past
April. The link and complete text of the article are below.

Downtown Kalamazoo Lions Club dedicates plum tree in honor of
International Year of the Tree

KALAMAZOO, MI --The Downtown Kalamazoo Lions Club on Tuesday dedicated
a Newport cherry plum tree in honor of the Year of the Tree.

Lions International declared 2012 to be the Year of the Tree and has
encouraged members to plant one million trees this year.

The tree dedicated Tuesday in Kalamazoo was planted in April outside
the Michigan Commission for the Blind Training Center. Next to it is a
plaque in both raised print and braille and is wheelchair accessible.

Rebecca Bundy, attended the dedication ceremony, was thrilled with the
tree. "It's awesome. I've always, in some way, shape, or form, loved
nature," she said.
