I read that in an article Larry. This has also happened in other cities
including most recently Pittsburgh as well
Good point about the wheelchair issue as well.
We've had a hard enough time making traditional cabs follow our civil rights
laws.
And that includes major cases even recently in large cities like New York
City.
Regardless, I am again, not totally, or knee jerk opposed to these systems
per se, just wish for them to follow in reality the civil rights laws that
also apply, at least in theory to traditional cab companies.
I certainly thank you, Larry and Fred for bringing this important civil
rights issue to this list for all of our civil rights are intertwined.
As Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "An injury to one is an injury to
everyone."
So these issues and concerns are very important for all of us including
those of us who do not use guide dogs for example.
Again many thanks for bringing these issues to everyone's attention.
