, a manufacturer of air conditioning compressors and magnetic clutches, currently

has several positions open at its facility in Parma.

Die Maintenance and Repair Associate

– Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of all stamping

dies, die cast molds, injection rubber/nylon molds and tooling to support production

needs. A high school diploma or equivalent and Tool & Die Journeyman’s card or

documented eight years of experience is required.

Machine Maintenance Associate

– Responsibilities include repair of machines, continuous improvement activities,

troubleshooting machine problems, assisting with quality circle activities within

the maintenance department and assisting the production lines where needed.  Must

be willing to do both mechanical and electrical work and be willing to help the team

achieve their goals. A high school diploma or equivalent and Journeyman’s card

within the trade, or documented 8 years of specific experience within the trade is

required.

Manufacturing Engineer

– Responsibilities include systematically implementing continuous improvements,

communication and facilitation with all MACI personnel, while ethically supporting

the goals and policy of the department and MACI. Specific duties include machine

safety enhancement, process and die trouble shooting, root cause analysis, short

period stops, downtime, defect & cost reduction, PLC & CNC programming and troubleshooting,

feasibility and time studies, and production control charts & PFMEA document maintenance.

A Bachelor of Science or Science Technology discipline related to the manufacturing

environment, two to three years of cumulative experience in a manufacturing environment,

and skilled trade work are required.

Manufacturing Team Leader

– Responsibilities include managing and safety maintenance, quality and productivity

output utilizing existing preventative maintenance systems, supporting department

and company-wide policies, and first-line supervision of manufacturing associates

while ensuring appropriate associate training. A high school diploma and previous

supervisory/leadership roles in a manufacturing environment are required.

Quality Engineer

– Responsibilities include general knowledge of statistical techniques, problem-solving/root

cause analysis, project management, and machining. A bachelor’s degree in a technical/quality

or engineering discipline, combined with quality experience in a manufacturing environment

are required.

– This position will provide quality support to production operations and development

engineering, ensuring the integrity of components designed and products purchased

from suppliers and assembled within Manufacturing meet engineering requirements.

The individual will aggressively drive quality improvements; ensure company standards

are adhered to, aggressively work with suppliers on VAVE cost improvements, develop

and administer robust internal manufacturing control plans and driving organizational

initiatives towards achieving “zero defects” performance and best in class pricing.

The individual will foster cross-functional support to implement process improvements

and problem-solving efforts both internal and to the supply base, to focus on protecting

and improving both internal and incoming product quality. A bachelor’s degree in

Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, in addition

to a combination of at least five to seven years of manufacturing engineering or

supply quality engineering experience are required.

Manufacturing Cost Analyst/Planner

– This position functions as a business support person to the Ann Arbor plant

and financial management team, and is responsible for plant level costs and control:

cost accounting, bill of material audits, and cost analysis. Supports month-end close;

works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and their impact on financial

results, and educate/inform department(s) on cost drivers and variances. A minimum

of one to three years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment,

and strong written and communication skills are required.

Manufacturing Engineer Position Opening

(MMTC) is an independent organization that specializes in providing training and

consulting services. MMTC is currently seeking a

Manufacturing Engineer

for its Plymouth location.

The

Manufacturing Engineer

will serve as a strategic consultant to small and medium sized Michigan manufacturers.

This person will lead the development of a proactive consulting practice to assist

SMMs in using new or unfamiliar materials. Many Michigan manufacturers are challenged

with lightweighting existing products. The main focus of this new position will be

to help clients address this challenge.

A B.S. degree in chemistry, metallurgical, material science, or engineering is required,
