Dear All,

With respect I know I tried to bring this up before and I got grilled for it by some but I do think that anyone who posts to a list should consider:

1. has if been posted on a lot of lists (if so maybe people have copy already)
2. Attaching of others--our Internet posts could follow us (public list). Therefore, leaving something positive is never bad.

The major we should consider is the blindness community is a small one--so of these people have jobs and others may not. Since it's a network of people and blaming/accusing can burn bridges we may want to keep or at lest I know I do:

Open lists mean:
1. People from different background
2. Differing views
3. different ways of expressing ourselves

When on a mailing list you can delate the posts, skip them, but in the work place or in world we most work with people who we may not agree with.

I do think sometimes it's forgotten if we would not it to persons face than we should not type it to them. Therefore, the computer dose not having feelings, backgrounds (family, friends, and groups) these effect effect people. I think all lists would be better if we remembered that people are behind the screen are people with feelings and we should not discount feelings.

I'm not meaning to express myself as if I've never made a mistake --people know when you say you did nothing that your covering reality and that's what I call hoarse crap.

To Jeff I know your referencing and a loss takes time as people handle it differently. I know I'm upset, reality sets in (a week), sadness, reindeers and acceptance: no education will teach us tolerance of others, it's through our journey that we accept other points of view and people. Lessons in life teach us things we either learn or do not.

This list is an example of what humans can struggle.

Respectfully,
Nadia

On Sunday of the state convention after people like Joe Harsh were long gone I witnessed Jeff and his family taking down the sound system that was used at the convention. Obviously we do not all participate by writing speeches on the list. I am not afraid of a rant directed towards me by Joe Harsh because that has already happened. In case noone has notice it has happpened to quite a few hard working federationists and also there are few people participating on this list at this time. Now we have provided a separate list for Joe Harsh to use for his rants and he cannot leave the NFBM list alone to be a safe place for blind persons to dialogue about life lived while being blind. Again Jeff Crouch and his brother Steven have been changing what it means to be blind in Michigan for many years and the previous condemnation of them is unacceptable and must not be tolerated on this list.
