Job Description

 

Primary responsibility will be to administer and maintain a BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite.  Additional responsibilities will include gathering

and documenting of business and technical requirements, managing new application development items through the change management process, and extracting

data from Microsoft SQL databases through the construct and operation of SQL queries.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Ensure the Remedy applications are properly patched and on the most current versions

2. Monitor and manage the ancillary applications, processes, services, and accounts that support the Remedy Incident Management servers, back-end databases,

and web servers

3. Provide support for Remedy testing and system upgrades as appropriate

4. Provide end-user support and assist with troubleshooting issues

5. Manage Remedy user accounts and process access requests

6. Provide Remedy reporting support

7. Provide support for creating security documentation and assisting in security reviews

8. Review trends, tickets, change requests and problems

9. Provide relevant information from the Remedy database to management for analysis

10. Develop specific Remedy workflow features to satisfy end user needs based on interviews with users of the system. Responsibilities may involve making

adaptations to Remedy and/or other Business Services systems/applications and participating in the planning for (and the acquisition of) future Remedy

and related systems.

11. Gather technical and business requirements form the business community and clearly document them

12. Perform extraction of data from Microsoft SQL databases through the construct and operation of SQL queries

13.   Maintain a safe and clean work environment involving routine departmental maintenance, cleaning and organizing of technical work areas and property

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
