President Biden has announced the end of the national public health
emergency in May. What does that mean regarding the COVID-19 pandemic?
Although COVID-19 remains a public health issue, the rates of COVID-19
vaccinations and boosters are declining. This is despite the ongoing
vulnerability to COVID-19 infection and its severe outcomes among
people with disabilities and older adults.

The Center for Health Equity (CHE) at Indiana University is hosting a
webinar that will feature Dr. Lindsay Weaver, the Chief Medical
Officer for the Indiana Department of Health. Dr. Weaver will provide
an update on the current status of the pandemic and what is next in
the effort to lessen the impact of COVID-19. Disability advocates will
share how the past 3 years have affected their lives and what they are
doing now to keep themselves and their family safe.

This free webinar will be on March 15, from 11 am to 12 pm ET. Live
captioning and sign language interpreting will be provided.
Registration is required. If you have any questions for Dr. Weaver,
please include your questions when registering for the webinar.

CHE is hosting this webinar with funding provided by the Association
of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD). For COVID-19 vaccine
resources for people with disabilities, please visit
