Thanks, Shelia,
I'm sending notes to my friends regarding this bill urging them to
urge their Senators to vote no onthis bill.
BTW, I didn't receive a post from you onthis earlier.

Hi,
Earlier today there was a post by Dan Flasar and my response about SB 188.
As I was looking for something in my sent file, I ran across a message I
sent to my Senator earlier in the month. It may be helpful to those that
are
interested in contacting your State Representatives about this bill. It's
my
best explanation about this piece of legislation. This is my personal
position on the bill not an affiliate decision.

Subject: Please Vote No On SB 188
Hello Senator Schaaf,
I am a constituent in southern Platte county and am writing to ask that you
vote no on SB 188. This bill protects employers that deliberately
discriminate against disabled Americans. The Missouri Human Rights Act
provides language in state statutes that has served victims of
discrimination well. I am not a supporter of frivolous law suits but there
needs to be accountability for employers that intentionally commit wrongful
dismissal of a disabled worker. SB 188 guts the Missouri Human Rights Act;
Discrimination is real and requires substantial proof of discrimination;
Employers who weigh their decisions should not be burdened by our Missouri
laws as they stand today. Many employers live by the laws we have and most
who employ a disabled worker finds that it is good business. Passage of the
Discrimination Bill is only a signal that human rights in Missouri is not
important.
I urge you to vote no on SB 188 and Hb 205 when it comes to the Senate.
