[Nfbmo] Revised agenda and committee list

Folks, I hope I have incorporated the good ideas and your wishes about
committees. If not, let's talk about them tomorrow. The same goes for the
agenda-we can always add. I appreciate all that has been said and hope that
I have gotten everything where it should be.

 

Some of you have asked me to provide committee descriptions. Julie sent out
descriptions which I will try to find. As for the new committees, the Song
Committee is to see that we learn and sing songs at our convention, music
being an important part of our movement. It is also to encourage us to write
some songs that capture what it is like to be blind in the second decade of
this century.

 

The Blind Parents Committee is to deal with issues of concern to blind
parents and to publicize our capabilities and the challenges we face when
people don't understand what it is like to be blind. If any of you find the
committee descriptions Julie sent out before I do, please post.
