[NFBMO] FW: [Nfbnet-members-list] NFB President Receives Automotive Innovation Award

Computer hardware, software, and sensor failure are always a possibility. So
too are heart attacks, strokes, and mechanical failure of the vehicle.
Moving, and moving fast will always contain some element of risk, that's for
sure. In my mind, the measuring stick for safety will be the numbers.

I worry about the computer blue screen of death or loss of function of a
sensor

I think we are assuming that a human will be more aware of that person
darting out in front of them, and I suspect this isn't correct. The computer
will always be on watch, and if an accident of this kind is avoidable, I'm
willing to bet on the constantly on guard machine over the easily
distractible human.
