Wouldn’t it be cool if the cars could use all kinds of analytical information to calculate the appropriate speed. The car may have the ability to know it’s safe speed. We could get rid of speed limits, and with vehicles communicating with each other, the transit times could be significantly shortened with the ability to travel faster without placing human error into the mix.
GM is ready to release a Chevy Cruise with no steering wheel in 2019 which in car years means about 7 or 8 months from now. I do not like the Cruise, but I would be willing to make the investment for the independence.Very exciting times indeed.
