Subject: National Federation of the Blind Kansas City Chapter Meeting on Saturday, October 21, at 1:30 pm via Zoom
Dear Kansas City Chapter Members & friends:
The National Federation of the Blind Kansas City Chapter will have its October meeting this coming Saturday, October 21, at 1:30 pm; the Zoom invite is below.
Note 1: this meeting is being held virtually because I was unable to secure the Westport Branch Library room (or any other physical venue) for that day, and the chapter voted to have the meeting via Zoom on October 21 rather than an in-person meeting on October 14.
Note 2: We will have a guest speaker from 1:30 pm to 2 pm, Amy Wilson with Safety Positive Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing blind people with a proactive approach to personal safety.
Note 3: I will play the presidential release at 3:30 pm after the meeting adjourns; this is the short version edited for chapter meetings. If you want to listen to the full version, click on the link below:

The National Federation of the Blind
knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your
future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low
expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can
live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
