Hey there, friends.
In case anyone is planning a surgery.
Karen is having a knee replacement done on February 20.

We had a plan in place for after surgery.
But at the clinic yesterday it was revealed that effective January 1, 2018,
the Feds have changed the regulations for Medicare.
What was Part A is now Part B, which affects the hospital and requirements
for certain rehabilitation coverage eligibility.
They boot you out after 23 and one-half hours, unless you are in a very
serious medical situation.
The plan was for her to stay in the hospital 3 days, so thus to be eligible
to go to the residential rehab facility, which Medicare would cover.
So we are working on all of this.

Just thought maybe if any of you have some plans for a hospital visit, do
not assume too much when it comes to the ever changing, ever shrinking level
of coverage and changes in regulations.

And so also, be careful out there on the ice. Boy it is about as perilous as
I have ever seen it here in the Bozone town. Parking lots, sidewalks. Heck I
think it may be time to just buy one of the new Amazon Drone Companion dolls
and fly around on that.
