Hello Everyone,

I am writing to request advice about disclosing my blindness to a
prospective employer. I was contacted by a recruiter from the
Reynolds & Reynolds Company yesterday and have been asked to take an
aptitude test. I have not yet replied to the email. I am still
nervous about this process despite my prior experience because as you
all know, judgement is not easy for any person at any time.

When I reply do you think I should include my blindness and the
request for assistance in the email? Maybe I should email my
confirmation of receipt and the times I am available to take the test
and also phone the recruiter and inform her directly? Has anyone
taken a test like this and used the KNFB reader? I write legibly and
could record my answers on a piece of unlined paper instead of writing
on the test form. Thanks for taking the time to read this request. I
know that blind people working and being seen working in public places
is one of the best means of education about us and that this makes it
easier for other blind people to gain employment.
