Oh, Dude not that way at all. History needs to educate all . I told you that just you would be informed about this. I had no remembrance as just how much there was when Richard and I joined in 1995. We Because we were first timers, the local chapter gave a full ride to California. I still put some of my own funds into it then also.

But, I was still working for the Bd. Of Ed. When I left there I got no retirement funds because I was screwed like many of us are. I have since found out it could be the spelling of my last name. I never noticed it before but some Jews educated me about this bull.

Being a President is very vast. This organization is very vast and you do a wonderful job , Robbie.

This is why I support Dr. Peters because she has run national organizations and she has the knowledge .

Many we wait for her to do everything but we as members need to get more involved and educate those that do not know enough. Even me, as long as I have had a membership, I learn something different every day.

Have a good one.

Wan

Wanda, I am going to try to express my opinion in the most respectful way possible. No, there is nothing in the constitution stipulating my opinion, and there doesn't need to be since it's just an opinion. However, this organization has policies and a structure that we should be following when administering funds. Right now, the way people are chosen to attend conventions is not done democratically. We did not have an organized vote on this issue in June due to the circumstances of the meeting, and so I believe the president simply approved the folks asking for assistance. I apologize if you take it personal, but I am not putting forth effort in this chapter to send the same people to convention every year. We talk about build the federation, so let's build it by encouraging, new, members to step up and apply for assistance. We have an established program for convention assistance at the state level, and I am calling for us to contribute to that instead.

If you want to raise money for yourself to go to conventions, by all means please do so. I use my own money every year to go to convention, so I have no problem with folks doing this at all. Get the money any way you need to, but this chapter does not exist to raise money to send the same people every year.

Furthermore, I don't know anything about the money that was left behind - that was way before my time. If the stipulation for that money was meant to send the same folks to events each year, then that was the wish of the donor and it should be honored. We're about to the end of that money though. On another note, I can't imagine how you folks blew through 100 grand in this amount of time, but again that was before me so I'm not concerned with it.

The purpose of the funding is to assist those who want and need to go. All are welcome to go and we try to encourage them to do so. There is no stipulation in the constitution that says what anything about your opnion If we would get off our butts and do more fundraisers all could go if they wanted to go. The money that we have now is what is left from about $100,000.00 when I first became a member. Can you come up with any fundraisers ideas that would help us receive more funding?s

I think in order for me to give a full opinion the names of the individuals need to be included as well. Are these the same folks who went to the national convention? It may be more respectful to send this out to the board only. As I have explained in the past, I am against funding the same people to go to convention every year. In fact, I am against our chapter funding folks to go to conventions at all; the state has a scholarship program for this purpose and we should be donating to that instead. I understand that certain repeat beneficiaries of this funding might not be happy, but it would give folks who have not had a chance to go an opportunity.

Greetings board members at the Miami Valley chapter we have some and finish business to take care of. Please read the forwarded information that I have asked Tim Jannings to provide to the board. Some of this information was discussed in the June meeting we did not follow up, the September meeting no one requested scholarship assistance, although the fun raiser is designated for such purposes 1/3 for the national 1/3 for the state and 1/3 for the chapter to make necessary donations. As we all know we have some members that need financial assistance we have some members that requested every year, no matter why they requested we must provide something if the funds are available. We have six members who have requested scholarship assistance and the state is gracious enough to provide that assistance and has provided it to the same six people for the national as well so is so fair that we support the state with donations for the cars as well as for door prizes. I would like for each of you to review the statement that has been before you and if you have any objections please explain why you object or at least give a rationale for your objection and if not I am strongly recommending that we follow what is outlined in the letter the only exception I would make I would only offer the scholarship refund of $40 for the banquet ticket to those that have requested scholarships we have 11 people that will be attending the State conference only six has requested financial assistance., And they must verify that they attended the banquet in order to get the $40 refund. I hope you’re having a wonderful wonderful day, I just completed a conversation radio invitation with Paul Dressel from Cincinnati and it was absolutely wonderful I had a great time and an opportunity to promote the Miami Valley chapter as I always do. Have a wonderful day if you need to talk to me off-line please do so if not please just reply with a yes or no with a rash and now thank you sincerely Dr. Carolyn Peters

Please respond ASAP thank you

Hi Dr Peters

Just to recap our conversation, our profit from the spaghetti dinner and sale of key chains less associated expenses was $1,127. That is the same number I provided Robbie for the Gavel report. If we spend $50 each for the Ten Brook, Jernigan, White cane, Imagination funds and $50 for state convention door prizes that amount to $250. In addition to the $250 we will make a pledge at the state convention for money for the movement for $100 for a grand total of $350. We spent $350 for National convention assistance for a total of $700 leaving $427 for state convention assistance which would just about cover the cost a $40 banquet ticket for 11 members. The reimbursement for the convention banquet would be after the fact. Hope this all makes sense.

Tim
