2. ACCESSING NFB-NEWSLINE THROUGH AMAZON ECHO

Subscribers to National Federation of the Blind’s (NFB) NEWSLINE can now
access it hands-free on any Amazon Alexa product. This includes the Echo and
the Echo Dot. Just say, “Alexa open National Federation” and after providing
this information, every feature of the program is available by voice
commands.

You can ask Alexa to read any of the five New Jersey newspapers available as
well as the New Jersey Grocery Ads. Or any of the thirteen national
newspapers, like the Wall Street Journal; thirty-two news services including
CNN and ESPN; and over five hundred  magazines and newspapers,including
international publications.

You can also ask for news and information about TBBC, Friends group, the New
Jersey Chapter of the NFB and the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and
Visually Impaired (CBVI).

NEWSLINE is sponsored in New Jersey by CBVI and is available  FREE to all
who can not read printed material or who have difficulty with turning pages.

You can access it via the telephone, an app on your Mobil device,  and your
computer too, Call NFB at 866-504-7300.

In addition, the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey’s

  b.. To hear instructions about the skill say, “Alexa ask National
Federation to give me instructions.”

Log in to NFB-NEWSLINE. You will need to log in the first time you open the
skill. a.. Say, "Alexa open National Federation."

  b.. Then say, "Alexa ask National Federation to log in."

c. State clearly, "Log in."

d. Provide your subscriber identification number and security code. Select
Content and Navigate Sections and Articles Alexa can help you select and
move through publications easily with a  variety of commands. Here are a few
to get you started:

a. "Alexa ask National Federation to read The New York Times."

b. "Alexa ask National Federation to read The Wall Street Journal."

c. "Alexa ask National Federation to read next section."

d. "Alexa ask National Federation to go to previous section."

Move from article to article by simply saying “Next” or “Previous.”
