The following information is being forwarded by the NJ Commission for the
Blind and Visually Impaired as a courtesy, in accordance with our continued
efforts to share information that may be of interest or of benefit to
individuals who are blind and vision-impaired.
The City of Newark is partnering with Eyes Like Mine, Inc. to host a Census
2020 job and information fair:
To learn all current openings and to apply for jobs with the United States
Census, please join us for this job fair and information session that
include information that is specifically targeted to community members who
are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired and deafblind.
Monday, August 5, 2019; 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Newark Public Library, 5

Background:
The upcoming census is not only of critical importance to the City of Newark
but to every community in America. We get one chance every 10 years to count
every single person and Census 2020 is it. Census data determines our
federal funding for health, education, transportation and various areas that
impact the quality of life of all residents.
